Introducing: Tanaya

Hey there, Tanaya here! For those of you who don’t know me here is a little bit about myself.

I was born near Pasadena and then moved to Hawaii where I did most of my growing up. My mom is Korean and my dad is white, so that would make me what the Hawaiians call hapa. I love my biracial identity and the way that it shapes how I see my world. I also love and adore my parents who are my inspiration. I am an only child, so by definition that makes me a bit odd. I have spent and still spend a lot of time talking to myself. I can also be found talking to my parents and especially my dad for hours. It’s really good that we are with the same cell phone carrier.

I moved back here to LA to attended USC where I got my BA in Sociology. (That was an interesting progression that I will most likely delve into at great detail later on.) Currently I am a research analyst for a small patent infringement company and in my spare time I am a photographer, writer and all around entrepreneur.

Along the way I have married who you could call my high school sweetheart, made friends who have become family, and learned what truly makes me happy.
