Lomography and the Inauguration
January 16, 2009 § Leave a comment
After struggling with this for many weeks, about a month ago I decided that I will not be taking my digital camera with me to DC. The dread of lugging it around, the fears of having it stolen or damaged, and the stress it was causing, all lead me to decide to leave my camera home.
So then how am I to document this historic event? Well the answer came when I received my Holga for my birthday. For those of you unfamiliar with lomography, it is basically a type of photography taken with extremely inexpensive and inaccurate film cameras. The results can be utterly amazing with strange vignetting and light leaks.
For some samples taken with my Holga see my flickr page.
So I will be taking my Holga, a fisheye2, and a popfour. I will also be taking my point a shoot digital camera for some quick shots and upload those when we get back. But be sure to check back once all of my pictures are developed.
