Today was one of the most momentous days of our lives. We were so honored to be part of this day and are so happy that we decided to take this trip.
We had a somewhat early start to our day and spent a ton of time in transit. When we finally made it to the Mall, we were thrilled to be within earshot of a speaker and eye-shot of a huge jumbotron.
In a crowd of 2 million, it was awe-inspiring to share a common spirit. Two million people were so quiet during President Obama’s speech that we could hear the speakers vibrate. The crowd spontaneously broke out into “na-na-na-na, hey-hey-hey goodbye” at the sight of outgoing President Bush.
All in all, it was a day we will never forget.
Stay tuned for the rest of our DC adventures and pictures!
