{643} benefits of an engagement session

We love when clients book us for an engagement session prior to their wedding. We know that most couples don’t think it’s something they want or need, but there are a lot of great reasons to add this hour-long session to your package.

First, it gives us a chance to know you. We get to know your story. We get a feeling for the way you interact with each other. With a back story and a couple of weeks (or months) to think about it, we can think of shots for your wedding day and portraits.

Second, it increases your comfort level with us. It doesn’t seem like much, but that hour is a great way to figure out the way we shoot–what we’re likely to capture, where we’re likely to stand. And if you know there’s something in particular you would like, you can ask.

Third, it offers you a great memory of you and your spouse-to-be in an environment that is meaningful to you, in clothes that represent you. It gives you a way to document the part of your story and love that is the every day.

Fourth, it gives you a nice memento to offer your guests either in your invitations or at your wedding reception.

And it’s for this fourth reason that we came up with a(nother) great idea! If you book an engagement session with us along with your wedding package, we’re happy to offer you 100 wallet-sized prints of your favorite image. (Of course, you can order more if you need to.) It’s our way of saying, we appreciate you, and we want to help you share your story!
